RPGnet stands with Black Americans in the fight for rights, safety, and justice. In the last year the Asian-American and Pacific Islander community has increasingly been the target of hate and violence, with the recent shooting being only the most recent and horrific example. RPGnet stands in solidarity with that community. We all have an obligation to stand up against racism and bigotry in all its forms.

Well as the title says, please, someone explain to me why people like the character of Ezio Auditore. You can't see any con or cosplay now without someone dressing up like him and doing that silly pose.
Finally becomes a calm and mature assassin driven not by revenge, but by the principles of the Assassin Brotherhood, as evidenced by his realization that killing the Grandmaster of the Templar Order would not bring his family back. He was human once. Connor on the other hand might seem flat by comparison but he also has his growing up moments, especially towards the end of the game when it finally hits him hard that the world is not black and white. But he just takes so long to grow, and by the time he finally does, the game's over.
I personally want to see him in another game because his character has potential. You are always the hero of your story, and a villain in someone else's.
So, lose the ego, and be as nice as possible. More topics from this board Where can I find Special Iron Ingot? Side Quest 4 Answers Where do you find guard dogs to lure away using bait?

I feel like he's been put on such a high pedestal that it's hard to relate to him.
I had more relatable moments with Connor, Bayek, and Arno. That said, Brotherhood Ezio is my favorite. For me it's when he's at his prime and most confident. AC II is where it was really fleshed out. I mean, in AC Revelations, you can see how much Altair mattered to the early franchise, since Ezio himself set out on uncovering what Altair had learnt from the Apple of Eden.
True, and I thought it was cool that they came back to him. It's just that in the game you actually played him in he was kind of a cipher by comparison to Ezio, and the gameplay itself consisted of what, maybe seven assassinations that all had the same steps, plus the end boss and a whole bunch of Templar Knights as you found them, and I guess some collectibles. I played both on the I preffer the revelations one.
He was a vastly different character from AC 2 to Revelations. Dude went from an arrogant and brash playboy to a wise Yoda like figure. I love the games, but having just replayed them I dont understand the undying love people have for his character. Like I connected with him and it made the games great, but I dont see his journey as emotional or touching.
I liked Brotherhood the most but his arch in the final game was the best part of it. For the first game or so he was just a generic male game character.
He strength as an enduring character, was not so much about his character depth, but the strength of the entourage of other supporting characters.
Even as an older gamer I just think the newer games have a much more realistic and engaging character development eg Kassandra. But each to their own. Thinking about this more, my first thought was that the "cocky young man becomes humbled and wise by experience" character arc isn't particularly interesting to me, personally, never having been a cocky young man.
But then I remembered how much I loved Edward Kenway, who had the same character arc. At least pre-Revelations Ezio. So I have no idea what the acting was like for English-speaking Ezio! Bad fake accents just drive me nuts, having grown up in a bilingual household with some of the "ear" for pronunciation that my late college language prof father had, and having gone on to study a couple of other languages, including some Italian-- that with growing up speaking Spanish as one of my native languages made it so I only had to glance at the subs occasionally in case I missed something.
Of course that didn't work so hot once the action moved to Istanbul, since I don't understand Turkish at all. Ha, that's why I picked the Italian dialogue setting I'm a first-gen Italian-American and grew up speaking Italian at home but now have lost a lot of it, so I wanted to practice it in a fun way using these games. Edward would have been as good as Ezio if the game itself didn't feel rushed in its story, the character is not supported by sound writing but does retain a solid background.
Laptop Vis profil Vis innlegg. Ezio has had the most games focusing on him, most of the other characters have only had one game so you can never really get to know them as much and there is only so much time to "develop" the character. Ezio has a lot of character from being a young angry teenager to a wise old man, sure it is over the course of three main games but you can see the development from day 1 to the final story.
VilestGod Vis profil Vis innlegg. I disagree. He actually is very well written and goes from a young teen that jokes around a lot with a smart mouth to being a serious assassin that was the most important overall. People like Ezio because he rebuilt the Assassin Order and he created new and important techniques. He expanded on what Altair wrote and he was able to recover the armor of Altair.
The problem with AC 3 was the awful writing. I also hated how Connor was there every step of the way for the Revolutionary War. I hated how he was commanding soldiers as a general.
I hated how he was a ship captain. We got to play as Ezio for three games. So the other problem was pacing where we go from playing as Haytham to playing as Connor very quickly.
